Alaska { and a little sock knitting }

I've just arrived home from a fabulous 2 weeks in Alaska (plus a few days in San Diego on the way home).  We did a 7 day cruise from Vancouver to Whittier and then 3 nights inland to Fairbanks.

I don't usually post about travel, but the photos from Alaska are just so beautiful I thought I'd show some...

This is a mother bear and her cub - if you enlarge the photo you can see her gorgeous face!

I took along my knitting - my first ever pair of socks - and I turned my first heel!!  I know I did one step wrong but you can't really tell and I didn't have affordable internet access to get help so I just went with it :)
